Lego Toy Soldiers

Toy Soldiers

October 22, 2012

These chaps were inspired by some of the wee wooden toy soldier ornaments my gran always had on her Christmas tree. There are some wooden rocking horses too, which I haven’t tried to recreate yet, but along with the soldiers they’re the only non-Lego decorations we have on our tree.

I cannot figure out how to print off picture instructions for grandchildren to look at while building. I did use the lego software to get it to open up and left it on the screen but paper instructions would be better for kids. Any suggestions how to get them to print on software?

Yup! Sorry for taking a while to get back to you. In Lego Digital Designer there’s an instruction mode that lets you generate and then print instructions. Although in my experience they’re never completely clear. Anyway, in LDD, up at the top right there should be a button for Instruction Mode, or Build Guide Mode, or something like that. Clicking that, waiting a wee minute for them to generate, then there’ll be the option to print somewhere on that screen. I’m afraid I don’t have access to LDD to give you complete instructions at the moment, but you’ll be able to search for instructions on how to print from it elsewhere on the internet too. Hope that helps! =)
